Privacy Policy
Overview
BlastTrack ("the App") is developed and maintained by Michael Mashlan. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data. The short version: your data is yours, and we have no interest in changing that.
Data Storage
All data you enter into the App, including job logs, before-and-after photos, equipment records, maintenance history, inventory, quotes, client information, compliance logs, and personal settings, is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you are signed into iCloud, your data is automatically synced to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service.
This means:
- Your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account
- Only you can access your data
- We do not operate servers that store or process your data
- We cannot see, access, or retrieve your data
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- No account creation is required
- No email address, name, or personal identifiers are sent to us
- No usage analytics or tracking is implemented
- No third-party analytics SDKs are included in the App
- No advertising networks or ad tracking is present
- No data is shared with third parties
In-App Purchases
The App offers optional premium subscriptions and a lifetime purchase. All transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. Apple's own privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, the App uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is subject to Apple's iCloud privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Camera and Photos
The App requests Camera and Photo Library permissions so you can capture before-and-after job photos, photograph hour meter readings, and attach receipts to fuel logs. Photos are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud container. The App accesses only the photos you explicitly capture or select. No photo data is sent to external servers.
Location Data
The App does not request access to your device's location services. Job site addresses are entered manually by you. The Job Map View uses Apple's on-device geocoding to convert addresses you have entered into map coordinates for display. This geocoding happens on your device. No address or coordinate data is sent to external servers.
Notifications
The App may send local notifications (such as maintenance alerts, follow-up reminders, low stock alerts, and pre-trip inspection nudges) if you grant notification permission. These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
Client Information
The App allows you to record information about your clients, including names, business names, phone numbers, email addresses, and site addresses. You enter this information; we do not collect it. Client information is stored in the same way as your other App data: on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud container. We do not have access to it. You are responsible for handling your clients' information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for professional sandblasting operators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all App data by:
- Deleting the App from your device
- Removing the App's data from iCloud via Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
